Free radicals: Glutathione is the major free radical scavenger in the central nervous system. It cannot be taken orally, as it does not cross the brain-blood-barrier. It may be important in handling oxidation problems in parkinson's disease, but this type of therapeutic approach is not likely to change the course of the disease. Better to rely on traditional meds in this day and age.
