They can: Hemiplegic cerebral palsy is associated with a lesion on one side of the brain with a porencephalic cyst. This can have pressure and need decompression. There can be an epileptic scar with difficult seizures. There can be poor growth of the affected side of the body with scoliosis and other orthopedic problems. There can be serious learning and behavior problems. Some can be near normal.
