AHA recommended diet: The american heart association (aha) recommends that saturated fatty acids be less than 7% of daily calories. Coconut oil is a saturated fat, therefore a similar diet would also be recommended for those with diabetes. So one would conclude that coconut oil is not good for people with diabetes.

Yes: I agree with dr. Lawrence. Coconut oil has the highest saturated fat content of all oils. One tablespoon of coconut oil contains more than 13 grams of fat. This would not be healthy for a diabetic and can increase cholesterol levels.
