See below: All bug bites can cause local reactions with redness, swelling and warmth without pain and itch like mosquitos. This occurs due to histamine release due to the saliva of the mosquito/bug, but there are other venoms in the bites that can have an effect too. And this can occur immediately or even hours after the bite.
