Why can't cigarettes be made with less tar or chemicals?

Not good business: It can be made with less tar and chemicals, but won't have the "good tastes" to attract as many people and thus not good for cigarrette makers! same as fast food restaurants: fatty foods taste better, thus more people buy them despite they are not as healthy. Home made cigarrettes from shredded tobacco leaves wrapped in its own leave (like cigars) will have no artificial chemicals! don't smoke!
