Higher repetitions: Higher repetitions with lighter weight and a low fat diet will help you tone and refine your muscles.

Not using them: Muscles will shrink quickly if you don't use them.

Should I be worried that my baby uses my arm as a pacifier?

Dr. Michael Pappas

No: Doesn't sound like a big deal...Your arm is there, so why not just suck on it? Makes sense to your little one. Eventually, your little one will move on to just a passy. In the meantime, when he/she starts to suck on your arm, place a pacifier in his/her mouth and take your arm away. It will get better..Just takes time. Have you ever seen a teenager still sucking on their parents arms? Me either.

Yes: If pregnant, it is very common for hands to become numb secondary to temporary carpal tunnel syndrome. The best cure for this would be to wear wrist splints like those worn during roller blading. This will put your wrists in an anatomically neutral position, allowing the best blood flow, decreasing pain and numbness until after delivery.
