Doctor can evaluate: Pain at the bottom front of the chest and the upper abdomen can be from bruised ribs and/or bruised tummy muscles, but one cannot tell for sure without an evaluation. If the wrists or hands were injured, and one cannot grasp lids to open or close jars, there may be a fracture, so a doctor can check to see if an xray is needed.
