A member asked:

Can i go to the e.r. to have ectopic preg. surgery? i'm afraid they'll reject me because i do not have ins. but i do have a fixed income, to pay bill

No: The er is for emergencies, hence emergency room. Having planned surgery is not an emergency. The only reason to go to the er for ectopic pregnancy surgery is because of a complication from not getting treatment beforehand. In that case, your health or even life may be in jeopardy. You should talk to a social worker asap to get insured or on medicaid. Don't block people with real emergencies.
