Hypersomnolence: That is the fancy term for excessive sleeping. Often is it not restful or no more restful than a shorter amount of sleep. There can be many causes. The first step is to see your doctor to rule out medical cause. Then further psychiatric assessment is needed. Hypersomnia can occur in problems like atypical depression, narcolepsy, sleep apnea, and other disorders.
