Lady in my hall died of pneumonia how do you get it in nursing home?

See below: It is not a question of how. It is a question of why this person died from pneumonia. Maybe this person may have a weaker immune system or enroll hospice service.

Easy: Fatal pneumonia in the elderly is often triggered by common germs in the upper airway of anyone. They are easily passed by touching the face or mouth followed by touching objects in the environment. The next person to touch that door handle, chair, etc. will contaminate their fingers & eventually pass it to their face/airway. Weakened defenses often allow this to progress to pneumonia when elderly
