Go to ER: You may have cut thru an artery. Go to the er if the bleeding doesn't stop. If the bleeding has stopped you should still get it checked by a doctor to make sure there's not signs of nerve impairment or loss of function.

Depends: What you injured depends on where you stabbed your finger. Regardless, you should apply pressure to the finger to stop the bleeding, but avoid strangulating the finger. Best to seek immediate medical attention to determine the extent to injury.
