Cut on Finger: If it has been too long now to get stitches, usually over 24 hours, then the best thing to do is put a good dressing on it . I like to use the cloth bandages as they move better in this part of the body. Be patient it will take longer to heal. I just had a cut on my finger in the same place. If it is less than 24 hours and deep go get evaluated for stitches,
