Low back pain: A lot of things. Sometimes a strain, sometimes a disc or more serious problems. If it is persisting, have it checked.

Not sure: Often lower back pain is musculoskeletal in orgin. If it is severe or is associated with significant changes in bowel habitus or other sxs - then medical evaluation would be prudent.
