my daughter had thyroid cancer and thyroid was removed about 4 yrs ago and all the sudden her tsh levels are up.?

Ned to see doctor: If she had total thyroidectomy , TSH level high means her thyroid hormone need to be adjusted , if partial thyroidectomy was done then same need more thyroid hormone, need to go back to her doctor(s).

Increase thyroid med: Increasing TSH levels suggests that she is not receiving enough thyroid replacement. The body's biofeedback system is telling the pituitary gland in the brain that it needs more thyroid hormone, so the pituitary sends TSH to stimulate the thyroid. Not a good situation in a cancer pt. We want to turn off tsh. Simple solution: increase thyroid replacement!
