A member asked:

Can i take prednisone for a stye infecftion on my outer upper eyelid ?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Absolutely not. I wonder why you would ask. Why were you given the prednisone and why would you consider using it for different thing than it was prescribed for is what I wonder. Prednisone could lower the ability of your body to fight infections, and stye is an infection so it is best that you get evaluated for appropriate treatment of what is going on with your eyes since your eyes are precious.
