No, this is benign: This is a benign tumor of the ovary. Naturally, if there is a part of the tumor that is borderline or malignant, then it is a cystadeno-carcinoma. Your gyn doctor should be able to follow you and advise tests that will allow her/him to see if you are developing another tumor.

Possible: Serous cystadenoma has a benign and malignant form called serous cystadenocarcinoma of the ovary. The pathologic diagnosis is based upon the rapidity and size of the multiplying cells, their nucleii, and how contained those cells are in the ovary.
