A member asked:

How long does it take for aleve (naproxen) to start working and is it ok to take it with acetaminophen and tramadol?

As soon as 1/2 hr: As soon as 1/2 hr and ok to take with Acetaminophen (as long as less than 3000 mg of the latter). Tramadol and Aleve (naproxen) share chemistry and combination should be avoided.

Should start 1/2 hr: Aleve (naproxen) should begin working in 20-30 minutes. You could take 1 or 2 tablets (220mg each) and it should last 8 hours. Works on pain and inflammation and could be safely used with Acetaminophen (just a pain reliever) and tramadol (a much stronger pain reliever). Adding an anti-inflammatory can reduce the need for the pain relievers.
