Nose-picking/rubbing: Their finger nails are thin and razor-sharp. When the inside of nose is itchy/dry, picking the inside of nose and/or rubbing it hard can cause bleeding. It is very common. If bleeding stops quickly, i would not worry. Just make sure that the nose is kept nosturized in dry/cold weather and treat allergies/cold symptoms to minimize itching, thus picking/rubbing. If worse, consult doc. Good luck.

Nose picking: Nose picking is the most common reason for bloody noses. Allergies can also contribute, if the nasal turbinates are swollen. Dry air also is contributing factor.
