Not really: Chronic sinusitis is persistent sinus inflammation most commonly due to allergies, but there are many other causes as well. The best treatments include avoiding those things to which you're allergic, and reducing the sinus inflammation with nasal steroid sprays. The only otc med that might help is the decongestants, but there are lots of side effects with these in people over 40.

Yes!: Several OTC medications can help with symptoms of chronic sinusitis, including: 1. Nasal saline irrigations to flush out mucus 2. Nasal saline spray to moisturize the nose 3. Nasal saline gel for moisturization 4. Nasal steroid sprays (currently Flonase and Nasacort) to reduce inflammation 5. "Cold meds" (antihistamines, mucus reducers, decongestants, and cough suppressants) depending on symptoms
