Genital herpes: can have various appearances. This STD is often missed or misdiagnosed because the appearance can vary from the classic cluster of vesicles to no lesion at all! Recurrent HSV is often a single tiny painful area that is swollen and red. If untreated it usually develops into an ulcer but it may be so tiny and hidden in pubic hair that it is never seen.
