Low oxygen levels: Oxygen is used as treatment for low levels of oxygen in the blood, part time or continually. It is commonly used in treatment for obstructive sleep apnea and various types of chronic lung disease. People living at altitude will need oxygen "sooner" than someone living at sea level. Oxygen levels can be tested both at home and in the laboratory.
