As a new mom i need to know how long should you breastfeed for?

As long as you wish: The benefits of breast milk over formula is well excepted at least as long as 8m, when many have reduced their volume & started solids. If baby looks forward to the nurturing involved, continue as long as you like. If you have to chase the kid down to do a feed & they quit after 5-10 min/side they are ready to wean.
