Maybe: Some studies have shown a link between cataracts and sunlight exposure but the cornea absorbs most of the uv. Regardless, uv protection is a good thing to have and is incorporated into most glasses and contact lenses.

Maybe: Uv light may contribute to cataract formation and macular degeneration. However many factors contribute to healthy eyes, such as a good diet and regular exercise.

Yes and no: People who wear glasses all of thge tim e have a lower incidence of eye injuries there is some evidence that wearing of uv protection decreases risk of cataract and macular degeneration. In general, people who do not need glasses have healthier eyes than those who do
