Breast growth: Mastodynia or mastalgia are the technical names for breast pain or tenderness. The most common cause is growth. However, the cause of the growth must be evaluated as normal or abnormal. Thisncan be due to endogenous hormones or exogenous (such as birth control). Other causes include tumors (local or distant) as well as infection or ductal obstruction. Imaging may be indicated. Discuss with gyne md.
