Electrolytes: Bulimia lends itself to upsetting the normal chemistry in the blood which is needed to normal functioning of the heart. Not allowing the body to absorb nutrients prevents having the needed sodium and potassium levels. When this balance is off the heart may go into a toxic rhythm leading to death.
