Likely reflux: It is quite common for babies to bring some of what.S in their stomach back up their esophagus & occasionally into their mouth or nose. Their airway is protected by a sensitive mechanism which will clamp down to prevent material from entering the airway. This results in choking. I find 4m a common peak in this activity with improvement as they begin to sit up more or stand.

GERD: The symptoms of reflux do not have to be in sync with timings of food intake. Babies can present with simple spitting to choking to wheezing.
