Most likely: The blood test will detect the presence of the pregnancy hormone in your blood if you are, in fact, pregnant. If you have a 35-day cycle, it seems you would only be 2-3 days late at this point - and you may want to wait a few more days before getting another test. If your period is actually 6 days late based on your 35-day cycle, then the blood test is appropriate.

Retest in 4-5 days: Menstrual irregularities are not uncommon and anovulatory cycle is a common cause. If you miss more than two periods it would be time to see your doctor. If you do not wish to be pregnant, use contraception all the time. You may consider implanted contraceptive or an IUD.
