Several things: You could have had a vasovagal (reflex) fainting spell stimulated by sudden stimulation of your pharynx (throat) or esophagus. Perhaps you were already having severe low blood sugar and then fainted despite the milk. Perhaps you were not fully awake and simply had a sleep attack.
