No treatment: There is no specific treatment for teething except help minimize the discomfort for the baby. Giving them safe frozen celery to chew on or frozen bagels help minimize discomfort. If too fussy and depending on their age check with the pediatrician and tylenol helps with the pain managment.

Swelling and fever: Discomfort or slight pain is expected during eruption process. Slightly swollen gum is normal; however, if the swelling goes beyond the gum and appears arond the eyes or below the lower jaw, it indicates ongoing infection and normally is acompanied with fever. You need see a dentist or pediatrian for immediate treatment.

Dehydration: If your child refuses to eat and drink and becomes dehydrates. Give palliative care for your child: teething rings, tylenol (acetaminophen) for severe pain and your loving support. Your child get through this just as you did.

Teething: Fussiness/drooling/sometimes a fever of less than 101F/change in sleep cycle/mouthing every object in sight/slight redness of gums/appearance of new tooth through the gums. Cold teething ring is best palliative. If fever goes above 101 child must see Pediatrician or Pedodontist immediately.
