Prenatal vitamins: Prenatal vitamins routinely prescribed, have extra iron, calcium, folate (folic acid) compared to regular vits. Dha is in fish, can get it there. Concerned about mercury, eat little fish like sardines, mackeral, herring- not much mercury in them. Big fish have more because they eat little fish.

Yes: Any basic multivitamin is fine to take while pregnant. Prenatal vitamins have extra Folic Acid which is important for prenatal growth and iron to help you maintain a healthy iron count. Newer studies tell us the importance of dha for prenatal development so i would recommend a vitamin with dha.
