Chronic bronchitis: Chronic bronchitis, usually the result of smoking, is associated with chornic obstructive pulmonary disease. Dnepnding on your history, spirometry testing and other tests, the degree of COPD can be estimated. First, if you smoke- stop ! since i'm not sure what you are takign, you may want to look into a plumonologist (lung specialist) for more indepth treatment.

COPD...: Chronic bronchitis is a form of copd, usually the result of smoking. If you are smoking, it is imperative that you quit and your doctor can help with this. Bronchodilator and steroid inhalers are the mainstay of therapy and other medications can be prescribed, depending on your symptoms. See your doctor for treatment. Antibiotics are only needed if you have signs/symptoms of acute infection.
