Remains effective: I don't want to contribute to discord between you and you're wife. But you're right and she needn't be concerned. It isn't possible to cough more than a small amount of inhaled medication. Most of it remains after inhalation, even when coughing up sputum (mucus) soon afterward. It's a good idea to keep coughing up sputum as it accumulates. The nebulizer will remain effective.
