A member asked:

My tsh is normal and t4 is high? what does that mean?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

How high? Free T4: Total T4 depends on thyroid binding globulins and may be elevated in pregnancy, contraceptive pill intake etc. If TSH is normal and you do not have any symptoms, you can leave it alone. At your next visit with your doctor you may discuss getting free T4 and T3 (liothyronine) done for confirmation of normal status.
