Yes: Ask your physician whether he/she can offer you something stronger, such as topical clindamycin.

A 21-year-old male asked:

Used cace medicines, soaps, gels but still the pimples reappear at the same position as before even after completing the acne course! help!?

Get real treatment: This is the 21st century and stuff that actually works is available by prescription and cost almost nothing. I start with topical Clindamycin adding a retinoic acid derivative if there's a lot of blackheads. If this doesn't clear it, or its extensive, deep, or on the trunk, find the right systemic antibiotic. The oral contraceptive pill can cure a woman's acne and dermatologists have the big guns.
A 49-year-old member asked:

What do you think, could my acne be gone the same time my sisters went away?

Likely: The folks who study this stuff report that acne's about 80% genetic. More important, all acne is manageable by today's evidence-based medicine. Hoping you're being treated and partnering with your physician on managing your disease. Best wishes.

A 18-year-old female asked:

Will it make me break out more if i switch care packs in the same brand (dermalogica) for my acne?

No idea: I wouldn't think so but this question might be better answered by the customer service folks at Dermalogica as they know exactly how their various care packs differ.

A 18-year-old male asked:

I was taking Isonoin for my acne but, now I'm now taking Isotane. Are they the same or they have different ingredients I should be worried about?

Same chemical: Both meds are isotretinoin but are either made by different companies or sold under different brand names. If the mg dose is the same, there should be minimal difference.

A 18-year-old female asked:

I will soon be starting Neotrex for my acne and this will be my second time taking it. Will this second time be worse, better or the same as the first?

Usually better: Most people find the second course a little better, primarily as they are aware of the side effects and have learned to adjust to them. Good luck.
