Yes: Your doctor will work with you to find the best medication at the best dose to relieve your symptoms as much as possible. Haloperidol (haldol) is usually given to help psychotic symptoms such as hallucinations and delusions. It's one of the less sedating antipsychotic agents, but this can still happen. Side effects must be reviewed and balanced vs. Treating the illness.
