A member asked:

Can discharge in my eye cause double vision?

Yes: The tear film is the first and one of the most important focusing elements of the eye. With dryness and sticky mucus accumulation, ghost images are common. These types of double vision symptoms are monocular meaning they still happen with an eye covered. Also, the symptoms should change with a blink or application of artificial tears. At least see your ophthalmologist to see what can be done.

No: If you still have double vision after blinking, it is not from the discharge.
