What is the best way to prevent myself from catching a stomach bug?

Good hand washing: Most stomach viruses are passed in contaminated secretions that can live on door handles or surfaces for hours. Frequent hand washing or sanitizing can reduce the exposure to such agents in public or private settings.

Wash your hands alot: Contact with contaminated surfaces, e.g. Doorknobs on cruise liners have caused epidemics of nasty GI viruses. Good hygiene. Don't share bites. Careful with food prep-uncooked animal stuff is contaminated til proven otherwise (or cooked), keep separate from other stuff you are cooking.; don't double dip. Wash all produce (even organic) before eating. Wash your hands often, especially before eating.
