Precautions: It comes back to the basics. Do not share food or utensils with sick people. Wash your hands frequently and before eating. Keep your distance from people who are sick. Use some type of disinfectant on commonly used office devices= phones, door handles, etc.. Also, get plenty of rest and eat well.

Avoidance is best.: Of course good hygiene practice. A natural approach I have see includes the following: Vit. C 4 gm/d, Vit. D 50,000 IU for 5 days and then drop to 5000 IU daily, and Homeopahtics for viruses.
