Virus infects humans: Once infected with Cytomegalovirus, the virus remains in the body for life. Cytomegalovirus infection in healthy people may cause mild symptoms to include: fever (low grade), headache, chills, sweats, muscle pain, decreased appetite, sore throat, swollen glands/ lymph nodes &amp; fatigue. Sometimes hepatitis or mononucleosis can occur.
