Switch medication: Nausea after dental surgery is most commonly caused by the narcotic medication used to treat pain. If this is the case, switching to a different narcotic or a non-narcotic medication, like motrin, will help. If this is not the case with you, contact your dentist. He/she can help alleviate this with an anti-nausea medication.

Call your dentist: In this situation, nausea may be caused by the pain medication if one was prescribed. Other causes can include dehydration. Make sure you are drinking lots of fluids. During surgery and after you may have swallowed some blood. Again, lots of fluids and reduce or change your pain medication. A good old home remedy is coke a cola. Shake out the "fizz" and sip. It can really settle the stomach.
