What is the cause of urine culture negative bacteriuria?

May be a : Problem in collection/transport (bactericidal agents in the container?, delayed transport to the lab? - urine specimens need to be processed within 2 h of collection). A selected fastidious bacterial agent may not grow in usual culture media.
