What should you do about blood in your eye?

It depends: It depends on where the blood is. If it is just on the white part of the eye (the sclera) it will usually resolve over a week, like a bruise. If it is inside the eye, you should see your eye care provider as this is more serious.

See your MD: If you can see the blood in the mirror, its on the surface and of little consequence in the absence of trauma. If its on the inside you probably can't see it in the mirror and it should be evaluated by your ophthalmologist to see if watching and waiting is in order or surgical removal is the better option.
