A member asked:

What good obstetrical and pathophysiology textbooks can i read during my pregnancy to improve my understanding and communication with my drs in l&d?

Gabbe or Williams: The landmark textbooks are gabbe obstetrics or williams obstetrics, though both are expensive and probably far more information that you require for your purpose. Hacker and moore is a bit simpler, though it contains a lot of gyn related material. My best advice, however, which may be taken for condescension, is that you should find a doctor you like and trust and then trust them.
