Yes: All females get cysts in ovaries once/ month for ovulation. So if a 15 yrs old is menstruating then she is ovulating and therefore she can have cyst in ovary. It becomes a pathological cyst when it does not disappear/ shed in month and develop thick wall around it. Pco or poly cystic ovaries is increasingly prevalent in obese teenagers.
