Bleeding pregnancy: Bleeding in early pregnancy is a warning sign but not always serious. We call it threatened miscarriage. Get checked by the obgyn to rule out ectopic, miscarriage and other problems. Many times things will turn out fine.

Could be: It would be prudent to blood level of HCG and repeat it 2-3 days later. In a normal pregnancy the level should double. It it goes down that would indicate a failed pregnancy. Wish you good health and a healthy baby!
