Variable coloration: As we age, there is quite a bit of variability to the coloration of the whites of the eyes. Some patients can have a yellowish tint, some are bright white, other have a lot of vessels, and other can appear grayish. The grayish coloration is often due to underlying veins and/or pigmentation beneath the sclera.
