As early as you can: The child's brain can adapt to changes much better at a younger age. In fact, after the age of 7, it becomes increasingly difficult to resolve a lazy eye. Vision therapy alone may not be the answer. Surgery may be of more benefit, depending on the cause of the lazy eye. The earlier treatment begins, the better the final outcome will be.
