What are they? : Is your son generally well? Does he have anything other than pulsitile tinnitus? Is he small or diabetic? Does he have a history of head injury or brain infection? These are just a few examples of the hundreds of questions that need to be answered for a pediatric neurologist or endocrinologist to follow up on this MRI finding.

Second opinion : A pediatric neuroradiologist should take a look at the mri. If images of the pituitary weren't specifically ordered, then this becomes a less sensitive test because the "cuts" through the pituirary images are too big to get a good look. Also, teenage pituitaries are supposed to be larger than those of adults because of all the activity going on there relative to puberty and growth.
