A member asked:

Could eating less carbohydrate-rich food give you more mood swings during pms?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

USUALLY THE OPPOSITE: Typically you have more mood swings with carbohydrate rich foods like sweets due to the serotonin suge and also the glucose surge. To avoid pms you want to eat a healthy diet, avoid excessive carbs and sodium, and exercise regularly. If severe enough and you are a candidate you can consider speaking withob/gyn and get birth control pills to help regulate hormones.
