Past history: Use your past menstrual cycles as a historical guide. If this always happens with each cycle then PMS is a possible cause. If this is a one time thing then PMS is not likely the cause. PMS can be managed with birth control methods. Sometimes antidepressants can be used during the 2nd half of the cycle to help control
